And, while I'm not doing a Confederacy=Nazi Germany comparison here, has anyone noticed how both of them ended up raising troops from populations that they didn't consider of equal status? Of course, in the case of the Nazi's it was even more bizarre, as it was the SS raising the divisions of non-Aryan troops.
