Actually, I came up with this a while ago, but I haven’t been able to make it catch on. Probably because I haven’t given it the widespread exposure that Rick’s Cafe can provide. So here it is, an emoticon for indifference; a shoulder shrug:

So much for term limits
On New Year’s Day, Mayor Bloomberg went to visit Grace Pak, the first baby born in New York City in 2009 . According to the Daily Nwes, he said, upon meeting baby Grace, This girl could grow up to be the next mayor .
The next mayor? Exactly how many times do you think you can revise the term-limit law, Mike?

A Tale of Two Sidneys
Sidney, like his dad, is a Saints fan until it is proven otherwise. He doesn’t yet know what a bad choice this is. Then again, neither did his father, who chose the Saints when he was in 4th grade because he did a report on the fleur-de-lis and then saw it on their helmet. This did not stop his Aunt Dawn from buying him Patriots gear when she made her first trip to Gillette Stadium this year. We put him in the clothes that Aunt Dawn bought, because that is the right thing to do. Unfortunately, the outfit came with a hat for a cornerback and Sidney is more of a linebacker. In any event, he was not amused.
It wasn’t even clear if Dawn was allowed to root for the Patriots, but when Sidney found out that Aunt Dawn was, officially, a board-certified Patriots fan"
