ST. LOUIS -- Our long national nightmare is over. In an utterly meaningless ninth inning of a game already lost, Adam Dunn produced his first sacrifice fly since July 22, 2003, driving in Ray Olmedo. The fly to center broke a string of 1,085 plate appearances without a sac fly for the big man. He had 65 chances to get it done in that span, but couldn't convert until tonight.
