Let's Go: Hospital!
I figure we could write a travel book. Actually, things are looking up a bit - relatively. We're still in New York. The city, that is. We're planning on training up to DC tomorrow. Zoë is better, Mei Mei is being monitored for fever symptoms, which could indicate her infection has taken a turn for the worse. Problem is: she's sure to catch what Zoë just had. So it's hard to be sure that any given fever will be a symptom of something truly serious. Anyhoo. Went for a lovely run in Central Park. And took Zoë down to the park this morning after packing Belle in a cab to take Mei Mei to the hospital for the second time. (She had a fever this morning, but the docs decided it wasn't quite serious enough to admit her.) All the fun we were planning on having in the city pretty much didn't happen. Tickets to Wicked ? All wasted. But we did manage to spend quite a bit of money on hotels and such. That's a traditional, New York-y sort of thing to do. We have good travel insurance to cover the health stuff. So that's alright. Oh, and Belle's mobile phone died. And the roaming isn't working on mine. Par for the course.

New York!
We're in New York. We celebrated our arrival by Zoë coming down with a 102 fever. (Rushed her to the doctor with that one.) And then, 8 hours later, Mei Mei came down with a serious urinary tract infection. (Emergency room for her!) Even by our standards this is pretty bad. Happy birthday, Dad!
