The hardest part of parenting is when there’s nothing you can do to make your child feel better. Naturally, when they’re sick you want them to feel not sick, but I’m talking more about not feeling well emotionally. It’s hard to see your child feel sad. It’s hard to see your child in an emotionally challenging place when the spirit of a child should really be more about carefree than aloneness.
