"Internship Opportunities
Internships are an excellent way to gain valuable work experience. They
can also sometimes lead to full-time jobs. Many NGOs that routinely hire
staff for projects in Eastern Europe or Eurasia also offer internship
opportunities. Some are formal, annually advertised positions (usually
in summer), others may be more ad hoc and recruiting is done mainly by word
of mouth. Some offer pay; others don't.
This page on Internship Opportunities is divided into two parts. The
first consists of opportunities that are open and currently being
advertised. [For information on submitting your own internship announcement to
CivilSoc , please read " To Submit a Posting "
below. Please note that Civil Society International does not charge
any fees for advertising internship opportunities.]
The second part consists of announcements that organizations previously
posted to CivilSoc and to this website that made reference to
internship positions. Individuals interested in exploring internship
opportunities at a particular organization can use these announcements as a
starting point for inquiring about current internship programs and
opportunities. Please note that some internship opportunities may be
open to nationals of any country, others may be more restricted.
In addition to this page, internship seekers should consult our
Job Search Resources page. You should also
consider becoming a member of
CivilSoc ,
our 2,900+ member listserv, which advertises internships from time to
time. All CivilSoc postings are saved at the
CivilSoc Archives ; the archives represent an excellent resource for
learning about what specific organizations are doing in Eurasia. There is also
a link to the Archives from our home pa"
