The more I thought about it, the more I thought this was a groovy kinda meme, and one worth ripping off. So here's my list of 10 blogs I'd choose if forced to read only 10. To cheat, I'm also going to offer four also-rans. These are not in any particular order, other than that in which I thought of them. • Ed Bott -- Ed is my favorite Windows expert, whose plainspoken, take-no-prisoners voice makes him fun to read. He doesn't post enough, in my opinion, but I guess it's good to leave 'em wanting more, eh? ( A tip: If you ever find your self out to dinner with Ed, let him choose the wine .) • Dan Gillmor -- When it came time to put his paycheck where his convictions were, Dan Gillmor made the decision to leave one of the best jobs in newspapering -- tech columnist at the San Jose Mercury News -- to champion citizen journalism for a living. He's a little knee-jerk with the Microsoft-bashing, but otherwise he's got a keen eye for real trends in tech, and faith in the concept of grass-roots journalism. • Micro Persuasion -- Cooper-Katz PR guy Steve Rubel's mission is to do for public relations what Gillmor is trying to do for journalism. Can you imagine a world in which companies and customers interact via blogs, RSS, podcasts, vlogs and other advanced technologies?
