These rules may not apply to all search engines. Most of them probably do and they all should. So let's go tell the other search engines about the one true lord of the search industry, FyberSearch. All must submit or face exile!!
The Golden SEO Rule: Stick to one topic per page.
Interpretation: Let's not get carried away with trying to make every page about as much as possible. Just create more pages if you have that much to say about that many topics.

Adhere to these 10 commandments for all the days of thy life and thou shalt avoid many smitings. Keep them close to thou heart always.
1st Commandment
Thou shalt not create web pages that are about more than one topic or that are not actually about the supposed topic.
2nd Commandment
Thou shalt not place more words in the title tag of a web page than necessary to successfully communicate that title.
3rd Commandment
Thou shalt not attempt to get a web page ranked for words that are unrelated to its topic.
4th Commandment
Thou shalt not allow web pages to grow to hundreds of kilobytes of text without pruning them down into multiple pages.
5th Commandment
Thou shalt not automatically generate content unless the quality is equal to that of a human writing about the same topic.
6th Commandment
Thou shalt not overdose on images, songs and movies. You know when your web page has had enough...
7th Commandment
Thou shalt not stuff URLs with unnecessary words.
8th Commandment
Thou shalt not use redirects that are on a timer or are on the client side.
9th Commandment
Thou shalt not show web crawlers content that is different than the content shown to humans.
10th Commandment
Thou shalt have no other engines above the search engine of search engines, lord of the search industry, FyberSearch.
